Celebrating Moments at Grace Hopper 2016

If you ever wanted to see more than 15,000 women in tech gather to network, celebrate, and share knowledge with each other, this would be the place to do it. For the second year in a row, Houston was the destination for the 2016 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing that took place October 19 - 21, and the Facebook Family was there in full force.
Check out the photos that captured all the meaningful moments this year.
Leading up to the celebration, our employees met with Facebook scholarship recipients.

When the main event started, Facebook recruiters, engineers, and leadership met with attendees to share career advice, conduct onsite interviews, and talk about working at Facebook. .
The Facebook donation wall offered something special in lieu of handing out booth swag. Facebook contributed to three nonprofits — Girls Who Code, Black Girls Code, and Hackbright Academy. The organizations focus on supporting and advancing women in tech early in their development through education, mentorship, and community. Booth visitors took an active role by donating to the “Focus on Impact” Plinko wall with their choices.
Panels & luncheons featured Facebook employees speaking about work, career choices, diversity, and more.
Live Career Conversations connected online viewers with Oculus engineers and our global director of diversity.
