We are excited and proud to share that Facebook has been named the
#1 Best Place to Work in Tech and #2 overall on Glassdoor’s 2017 list. The rankings are based entirely on the feedback and reviews that people who work at Facebook share directly with Glassdoor.
This would not be possible without the effort of our amazing Facebookers – people who work together to connect the world and make meaningful impact every day.
Here are some reactions and stories from our teammates who shared their experiences working at Facebook.
We're 1% done, come join us!
"Our people tell us that they enjoy working at Facebook because of the impact each person has, because they have an opportunity to play to their strengths doing work they enjoy, and because we all share a focus on our mission to connect the world. Whether it's helping to increase internet access around the world or building the future of AI and virtual reality, we are still only 1% done on this journey," says Lori Goler, Head of People at Facebook.

Calling all software engineers who thrive on technical complexity
"Seven years ago, I was in bootcamp — Facebook's onboarding program for all engineers — and it was some of the most fun and best learning I've had in my career. I got to fix bugs, develop new tools, meet engineers across the company and learn about our tech and culture. This is something we still do today. It's one of the things we do to invest in our people and help them ramp up so they can have an outsized impact and learning opportunity here at Facebook," says Jay Parikh, VP of Engineering.
Calling all diverse minds looking to build social value
"I'm proud. Facebook is one of the best places I’ve ever worked. And, it's particularly true as a woman in tech. Here, women are powerful. Sheryl and others set the bar. Including strong male execs," says Regina Dugan, VP of Building 8 (
Facebook's State of the Art Hardware Lab). "It takes all of us from all our different backgrounds to be the best that we can be," says Maxine Williams, Global Director of Diversity.
Calling all technologists looking to connect the world
"I love talking to people interested in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and other exciting technologies that will shape our future. It's amazing what Facebook has already accomplished and there is still so much to do if you are an engineer, researcher, game developer, or anyone else interested in connecting people," says Mike Schroepfer, Chief Technology Officer.
