Roseli Brandi, Recruiting Lead

How is working in Recruiting at Facebook different from working in Recruiting at other companies?

At Facebook we believe our journey is 1% done and to support our growth globally and in Latin America, we hire candidates who like to build things. Our recruiting strategy is based on strengths, aiming to identify and foster employees' strengths rather than focus on their weaknesses.
I truly feel empowered and fearless as a woman at Facebook. We have various actions such as the regional Women Leadership Day, internal groups and mentoring sessions, that enable us to have open discussions and create strategies to leverage one another.
I believe Facebook has an open culture where people are protagonists of their dream career paths and this makes recruiting at Facebook very unique.

How is the recruiting function growing within Latam?

Facebook business is growing fast in our region and so is our Recruiting team. We are a global company filled with international and local career opportunities. Last year, we had successful stories within our Recruiting team in Latin America, having our talent continue expanding their careers at Facebook Asia-Pacific and North America regions.

Josiane Menna, Leadership Recruiter

You’ve been five years at the Recruiting Team at Facebook - what has been your biggest accomplishment?

I feel so lucky to have had the chance to spend the last 5 years meeting and working with such talented and inspiring people through my job at Facebook. I'm one of the first members in the Recruiting team in Latin America and as a recruiter, I've had the opportunity to help the company grow, hiring amazing professionals who share our passion for creating communities.
It is extremely rewarding when you see teams being born, and people finding ways to create positive impact in their roles. It always makes me beyond happy when a former candidate comes to me and say that joining Facebook was the best choice for their careers.

What’s today your favorite thing about working at Facebook?

We are a culture of builders. At Facebook, everyday you are encouraged to create new things, figure out ways to improve and make bold decisions. To feel that I'm in a role that has real impact keeps me motivated and makes me believe that I'm part of something bigger.

Priscila Rossi, Recruiting Lead

What’s motivating about the work at Facebook?

Our internship program was designed with the purpose of providing students a meaningful working experience at the beginning of their professional life while giving us the possibility of identifying the next generation of Facebook employees. Since the beginning of the Program in Latin America, we have hired more than 80 interns to our offices in Brazil and Argentina, and we have also exported several Latin American students to do internship at our Engineering in offices around the world. I am passionate about leading this program because it allows us to connect and attract a diverse range of students, who will develop themselves through an impactful and fun work.
Becoming a People Manager after my first year in the organization shows how Facebook is a strengths-based company. I always had this passion for managing people and when the opportunity appeared with the growth of University Recruiting area in the region I did not think twice. The best thing about it is that Facebook gives you all the tools and training to enable your success while managing people in the company.

Why would you recommend Facebook to a friend?

At Facebook we can be our authentic selves and can focus on the things that really matter. I also love the openness and transparency of the communication, because it enables us to make the best decisions in our job.
