The power of community: how women build at Meta

When Arianne J., a privacy and public policy manager, felt hesitant about applying for a role at Meta, a female mentor reached out and gave her the confidence to submit her resume. “It took a female ally to help me remember what I was capable of, and that’s what opened the door for me,” she remembers.
When Nishita A. became the first female engineering manager in APAC while working from home, her first thought was about the women who may feel inspired to follow a similar journey. “I realized I was breaking barriers for other female engineers by showing them what a path ahead could look like.”
When Keisha T., a regional marketing lead on the Gaming Partnerships team in APAC, wondered whether flexibility was possible for women at work, she heard a resounding “yes” from the community at Meta. “As a woman who cares about her career and wants to be available to her family, I’m so glad to work with metamates who respect my personal life.”
Women supporting women is a common thread in these stories, and community is at the heart of the culture at Meta. In celebration of International Women’s Month, Nishita and Keisha recently joined Arianne on a Live panel discussion to talk about their unique experiences, career paths, and how they’re helping bring people closer together in their current roles in APAC.
