Rotational Product Manager Program
Developing future product leaders by empowering, mentoring and enabling them to learn across a variety of Meta technologies.

What is the Rotational Product Manager program?
The Rotational Product Manager (RPM) program is a full-time, 18-month developmental program, designed to give people the skills and competencies needed to become a successful product manager (PM) at Meta.
Who should apply
RPMs are hired from a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds, including recent graduates and people with full-time experience in various industries. The RPM program also is suited for individuals completely new to the product manager (PM) function.

People who already have more than one year of PM experience, inclusive of PM internships, should apply for product manager roles listed at Meta Careers.

The RPM program is built with cognitive diversity in mind. This enables everyone at Meta to build better technologies and make better decisions for the billions of people who use Meta technologies.
Successful RPM candidates bring
Analytical and problem-solving skills: They can define and analyze metrics to make informed decisions.

Organizational and leadership skills: They have experience helping others play to their strengths, working with a number of colleagues to prioritize tasks and get things done in a fast-paced environment.
How to apply for the RPM program
RPMs are hired once a year for 2 start dates in the following calendar year.

The RPM Program is supported by several Meta Offices, such as: Menlo Park, Seattle, New York City, etc. Applications generally open in late summer or early fall.

Your application to the program will require a resume and responses to short questions. These questions should take no longer than 1 hour to complete. Applicants must answer these questions before submitting their application to the program, so applicants should be mindful of the application deadline and plan accordingly.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and we encourage applicants to be patient in hearing back about next steps.
How the RPM program works
RPM program participants start by completing a product bootcamp, which combines training of tools, processes and product management best practices while receiving continuous mentorship. Over the course of the program, participants will work on high-impact projects across 3 different product teams.
What happens during the Rotational Product Manager program?

Kickoff and training

The RPM program begins with a product manager bootcamp that spans 4 weeks. During this time, participants are matched to their first product team, hear from product managers and leaders from across the company about our product culture, learn PM best practices and gain familiarity with the technical systems we use to build our technologies.

Mentorship and teamwork

During the rotational period, RPMs work on 3 different product teams across the company. They work side by side with engineers, designers, data scientists and other cross-functional roles and ship technologies that are core to Meta’s mission and growth.

Experience and graduation

At the end of the program, RPMs are ready to internally transfer out of the program and explore open Meta PM roles across the company. RPM Grads will bring a wealth of Meta connections and a well grounded generalist perspective to any post-program roles and teams. Meta makes an investment in each of its RPMs to help them continue making tremendous impact at the company.
