Launch a new career path in software and systems engineering.

What is the Discover Production Engineering program?
Discover Production Engineering is a 12-month development opportunity designed to help people with non-traditional backgrounds develop both software and systems engineering skills. Participants will gain meaningful experience for the rest of their careers and have the opportunity to be considered for a full-time position.
How it works
Discover Production Engineering is a 12-month program that can lead to a full-time role. At the beginning of the program, participants will complete a five-week engineering bootcamp—an immersive technical training program on engineering fundamentals. Throughout the remainder of the program, participants will receive hands-on training in systems and infrastructure topics. They’ll gain technical experience directly supporting and building the many services that power Meta. All participants are supported by an experienced manager and mentor who are committed to their success. They are also paired with an alumni of the program to provide additional support and mentorship.

THOUGHTS FROM OUR TEAM
I never imagined the skills I developed working as a theatrical sound engineer would be a fit at Meta, but that’s exactly what the Discover Production Engineering program is for—introducing production engineering to people with diverse professional backgrounds.
Jake H., Production Engineer
Production engineering isn’t something that’s taught in school, and I didn’t know much about it before I started at Meta. I worked at a hardware company for a few years before joining an engineering bootcamp, and then found the program while searching for a job. It cemented the course of my career.
Chloe S., Production Engineer
