The Operations team’s mission is to develop the manufacturing and operational platforms to bring these new technologies to scale. As an Operations Program Manager (OPM), you will be a critical member of the team and work closely with a multi-disciplinary group of research teams to ensure that key operational needs are met to enable our ambitious team goals. You will work with researchers, engineers, technical program managers, and other cross-functional teams including product, legal, finance, HR, operations, and facilities to build impactful relationships, serve as a dependable point of contact, and ensure Operations team's plans are met. To do this, you will need a blend of technical project management, financial acumen, clear communication, and operations rigor to collaborate cross-functionally and drive team-wide operational initiatives. To be successful, you will be eliminating barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating their work to all stakeholders, and ensuring the big picture stays in focus while diving into the details on specific issues for timely resolution.
Operations Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Assesses, analyzes, consolidates, and communicates risk and status clearly and succinctly to management, calling out key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional executive team through the new product reviews and other executive forums.
  • Provides links from the US based Operations & Engineering Teams to the Factory Operations teams from various development builds through new product introduction.
  • Actively participate in HW Engineering design discussions and steer solutions to align with market fit/expectations while hitting high-impact cost targets.
  • Use your technical experience to drive engineering and the supply chain team to meet program cost targets at a product and commodity level for your project.
  • Challenge HW teams at a technical level to enable cost down efforts from a technology standpoint.
  • Ensure the successful launch products towards meeting its stated cost, quality, schedule, and availability goals.
  • Lead ramp availability with GSM, Quality, Engineering and other internal and external teams.
  • Drive Operations team to ensure security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training and documentation plans are in place at our partners.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Program Managers to define Key Performance Indicators and Product Requirement Documents to enable successful architecture and design locks and according to PDP timeline.
  • Work in tandem with Product Cost Manager to drive aggressive product cost targets and track product cost through development.
  • Drive Operations team for factory readiness with manufacturing partners to support NPI builds and MP (line layout, automation, capacity, capex, etc.)
  • Liaison across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability, reliability, product quality, safety and compliance, and go-to-market strategies are met.
  • Work closely with Contract Manufacturing Team to ensure partner selection is being optimized to support product requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering, Manufacturing & Operations Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Operations Program Management/NPI role
  • Experience in Operations and Supply Chain
  • Cross-functional leadership experience with active participation in new technology development and hardware design discussions
  • Project management and teamwork experience acting as liaison across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability, reliability, product safety compliance and go-to-market strategies are met.
  • Experience working with and managing Electronic Manufacturing Services suppliers
  • Problem solving, analytical thinking and communication experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Manufacturing fields
  • 10+ years of experience in leading development/delivery of high-volume consumer electronics products,
  • Experience managing JDM models of engagement
  • Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
