As a technical Artist you’ll be working with a talented group of industry professionals leading the way in this emergent and creative space. Technical Artist Responsibilities
  • Supporting other Technical Artists in the strategic development of Art Pipelines, and Tech Art content including tools, assets and documentation.
  • Profiling and Optimisation of content for memory and performance, whilst maintaining high visual fidelity.
  • Working collaboratively as the bridge between the Art & Engineering disciplines to overcome technical challenges.
  • Working with the Technical Art team to prototype and iterate on new experimental features.
  • Hands-on, effective delivery of content to the game including debugging issues.
  • Works with the wider team on innovative prototypes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Teamwork and communication skills, capacity to receive and offer feedbacks well as provide suggestions for asset or process improvements.
  • Showreel and example files that demonstrate technical art core skills and problems solving.
  • Competent in analyzing pipelines then automating processes for efficiency using scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated working understanding of commercial games engines and how to optimize content in them.
  • Demonstrated understanding of real-time game asset production and the process of taking an asset from conception to bug fixing and delivery in-game.
  • Experience in authoring simple shaders in HLSL / GLSL.
  • Experience in authoring simple VFX
  • Experience developing tools and/or gameplay logic using engine specific tools such as Unreal Blueprint or Unity C# scripts.
  • Solid understanding of core art fundamentals, colour theory, form and composition, lighting, plus an appreciation of game level design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of tools and pipeline development for industry standard DCC packages, e.g. Maya or Blender.
  • Experience of working on Mobile platforms and VR platforms.
  • Experience with experimental Gen AI workflows including Comfy UI.
  • Experience with C# and/or C++
  • Experience with Character Asset pipelines, rigging and related tooling.
  • Experience with authoring Substance Designer materials.
