The Monitoring and Observability (M&O) organization at Meta is dedicated to achieving and maintaining the highest levels of reliability for Meta’s systems and services so billions of users have the best experience when using our apps. The Prevention team in M&O is responsible for ensuring that bad incidents that could disrupt Meta’s apps and service are proactively prevented and Meta’s apps and services are remain running smoothly and efficiently. We develop and maintain multiple systems that are used by software engineers at Meta to ensure their services and products stay healthy during code changes and rollouts. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering and partnerships. As a highly independent executor, you will be responsible for driving projects forward with minimal guidance, collaborating effectively across partner teams, and interacting with executive stakeholders to drive strategic decisions. In this role, you will leverage your technical acumen and a keen interest in detail to understand the problem space well and develop solutions to solve it. You will also need your leadership skills to influence outcomes, build solid relationships and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Product Manager, Monitoring and Observability (M&O) Responsibilities
  • Captain strategic initiatives for the org, negotiating the approach with executive stakeholders, developing the execution plan with partner orgs, and ensuring we meet goals and commitments.
  • Understand the technical space, and partnering with technical lead to develop solutions that resolve the complex technical problems
  • Support the team in one of our highly pressured areas, establish the direction and set them on an impactful course with clear plans.
  • Execute effectively in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are operationalized at a very fast pace.
  • Navigate highly ambiguous, complex situations with grace, and build trust with our partner teams
  • Operate independently, think strategically and communicate effectively will be essential in driving success in this position.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 5+ years in Product Management.
  • Bachelor's degree (or relevant degree equivalent): STEM subject ideal but not essential (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences).
  • Experience leading cross-functional product teams across a full product line: Crafting product mission and strategy, defining product requirements, coordinating resources from other groups (marketing, legal, etc.), and driving the team to achieve key milestones and goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in communication, bringing extreme clarity to complex messages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large internal tools, knowledge of infrastructure systems would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience setting vision, direction and bias for execution in SaaS, enterprise tools
  • Demonstrated technical and people leadership skills. Experience in bridging several large siloed spaces in execution of a common vision or strategy.
  • Demonstrated good working relationships with internal customers and partners and understanding their needs.
  • Experience working in similar space in the industry and/or knowledge of similar tools such as Datadog, DynaTrace, Grafana is a plus
