Meta is seeking a skilled Architect to lead the development of multimedia algorithms for Silicon Acceleration, with expertise in Imaging, Computer Vision, and Graphics. Key responsibilities include creating software models and bit-accurate specifications for hardware acceleration, with a focus on power and performance optimization. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives in cross-functional environments and has a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Augmented Reality Silicon Accelerators Algorithms Architect Responsibilities
  • Solve end-to-end problems in image processing across Camera, Display, Computer Vision, and Graphics domains
  • Invent and develop algorithms that integrate machine learning and traditional processing techniques, optimizing for high performance and low power consumption
  • Develop software models, including functional and bit-accurate fixed-point models
  • Collaborate closely with software teams across the stack to enable new features
  • Support and guide silicon implementation teams in designing and verifying hardware accelerators
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 12+ years of experience in Imaging Algorithms, CV Algorithms, and/or Graphics
  • Proven track record of developing algorithms from concept to implementation in Silicon and/or Software
  • Proficiency in C++/C programming languages, including fixed-point implementation
  • Experience with performance analysis and optimization modeling
  • Background in both classic and ML algorithms, as well as experience in developing pixel processing algorithms and optimizing imaging pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or related fields
  • Experience developing algorithms for acceleration in Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality or Mobile application processors

$212,000/year to $291,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
