Program Management
Meta is seeking an Operations Systems leader to join the Global Operations Systems team, supporting our Product Data Operations (PDO) and Product Operations (ProdOps) functions. These teams are integral to providing data and insights that drive machine learning, AI, and product improvement across all Meta products. You will oversee a team of systems program managers responsible for design and delivery of the tooling necessary for PDO and ProdOps to achieve their organizational objectives. We are in the midst of a fundamental transformation of our tooling. As the leader of a high impact team, you will be at the heart of driving this transformation. In close partnership with engineering, product and other cross-functional teams, you will lead your team as they identify tooling problem statements, translate those into technical requirements, design solutions with product and engineering, and roadmap to fit for purpose tools that meet current and future business needs. Doing so will require aligning and leading large cross-functional teams and programs.
Head of Technical Business Systems, Global Operations Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a team of Systems Program Managers (SPMs), and out-sourced engineers that can scale with Meta and Product Data Operations through rapid infrastructure, tooling, and product growth
  • Take accountability across four pillars of our systems / tools - maturity, reliability, adoption and efficiency. Ensuring our tools are fit for purpose, can scale with quickly evolving business needs, and driving high ROI
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the existing team while fostering a healthy, and productive team dynamic
  • Forge partnerships with technical and business leaders across the company, ensuring that team resource investments align with company priorities. This requires navigating conflicting priorities, competing resources, quickly evolving business needs, and the AI landscape
  • Lead from the front by leveraging your technical proficiency to proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical tooling challenges with engineering leaders and stakeholders. Develop a long-term vision along with a near-term execution plan
  • Structure and optimize the organization for effective execution, including attracting talent and swiftly filling gaps in the existing team to facilitate growth
  • Build and lead an organization centered on customer focus and effective communication, emphasizing decisive, fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive conflict resolution, and a 'no barriers' mindset
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of software industry experience, including systems engineering, consulting, or technical product/program management experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery
  • Experience in organizational coordination and establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and partners in different time zones
  • Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving with large-scale systems, proven track record in delivering technology programs or products from inception to delivery, understanding user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Experience operating independently across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products
  • Experience in AI, machine learning, or related fields
