Meta is seeking a highly experienced Statutory Accountant to join our International Statutory Controllership team. As part of the Scaled Operations sub-team, you will play a key role in driving large-scale processes for statutory accounting compliance, collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and managing global processes in a matrix environment.
Statutory Accountant - Scaled Operations Responsibilities
  • Work on complex, high-volume statutory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and operations, to drive process improvements and innovation
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, regulators, and vendors
  • Manage and deliver on global processes, leveraging experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, implementing solutions that drive efficiency and scalability
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIMA ( Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or equivalent) with a demonstrated background in statutory accounting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and US GAAP (United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • 5+ years of experience, 2 of which is in an industry role post qualification
  • Experience in operating with a high degree of autonomy
  • Proven experience in leading complex processes and projects with multiple team involvement
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Large audit firm experience
  • Experience in developing and scaling a process and managing multiple projects
