Meta is seeking an Executive Speechwriter to join the team of our Regional Vice President within the LATAM Global Business Group (GBG), who also oversees global sales for Business Messaging. This person will develop internal and external narratives for the Regional Vice President that are aligned with the company mission and the work of GBG and Business Messaging. Responsibilities will include creating, writing, and leading content development and storylines for the RVP that will inspire and excite both internal and external audiences. Attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be passionate about the services Meta provides, the people and communities we serve and the businesses we support.
Speechwriter, LATAM Responsibilities
  • Craft narratives that align with the GBG vision of clients value Meta as their number one growth driver and trust in the people and integrity of our business.
  • Understand the unique needs of the team and goals of the organization in order to produce effective and relevant communication strategy.
  • Develop and manage strategy for new and existing internal communication channels.
  • Create and edit messaging and materials on various topics, including GBG strategy, Business Messaging priorities, announcements, events and external leadership engagement.
  • Emphasize how Meta enables business acceleration via digital agility, AI, and marketing strategy in all narratives and communications.
  • Build partnerships with key internal communications stakeholders, including: Global Business Marketing, Public Relations and Meta Internal Communications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of speechwriting experience for leaders in business.
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and Portuguese or Spanish.
  • Professional speech writing, publishing, or corporate communications experience.
  • Proven experience drafting messaging materials, executing delivery, preparing for large-scale employee events and working with cross-functional groups.
  • Experience communicating to all levels of an organization.
  • Proven experience prioritizing multiple deliverables simultaneously and working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, and Google Docs.
  • Experience working across time zones to achieve results.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Post-graduate or professional degrees in writing or journalism.
