Meta is seeking a motivated Payment Partnerships Manager based in Sao Paulo, Brazil to work in the Latin American region with focus in Brazil. A Payment Partnerships Manager at Meta, also known as a Strategic Partner Manager, is responsible for building and managing relationships with payment service providers, networks, financial institutions, fintechs, and other key partners to enable seamless payment experiences for Meta’s users and products. This role involves finding new opportunities on their own, navigating complex payment ecosystems, collaborating with external and internal teams, and driving strategic decisions to optimize payment processes for Meta Ads and Business Messaging Solutions. This is a position based in our Sao Paulo office and the candidate will work in the Latin America region with focus in Brazil.
Strategic Partner Manager, Payment Partnerships Responsibilities
  • Understand the payments ecosystem and partners landscape in Brazil/Latin America and contribute to the overall payment strategy by identifying market trends, regulatory requirements, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop and manage relationships with Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Networks, issuers, and Fintechs to support Meta's Payments Strategy
  • Engage, negotiate and sign contracts with partners supporting Meta’s priorities
  • Identify and assess market opportunities on their own, evaluate potential partners and recognize new avenues for growth that align with the company’s goals
  • Identify and assess opportunities to optimize payments, including adding new payment methods, improving authorization rates, reducing fraud and chargebacks
  • Support growth opportunities and adoption of emerging technologies and trends
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in the payments industry including digital payments
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Track record of building and leading projects with payment processors, payment networks, fintechs and local payments providers in Brazil/Latin America
  • Capacity to work independently, identify opportunities on their own and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience executing in a fast-paced environment with several internal cross functional teams and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record in partnerships management including relationship building, business development, negotiations and contract signing
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or MS Degree or equivalent experience
  • Working experience in global or regional digital merchants
