We want to make investments in growing London presence to tap into the talent pool outside North America and have close partnerships with GenAI and RecSys teams there. We have a small team and London (Feature store) and we are currently bootstrapping a new multi-disciplinary team with expertise in various aspects of Distributed Systems, Performance engineering and domain specific knowledge (ML Sys, MLEs) to work on a unique high visibility opportunity to build a heterogeneous workload optimization engine on top of the Monarch Single Controller framework. As we build AI Infra presence in London, we would like to move additional project work there.
Engineering Director, AI Infra Responsibilities
  • Build, manage and support diverse teams of software engineers and engineering managers
  • There are several important dependencies, partnerships and customer relationships that need to be handled by this candidate. The role needs a highly technical candidate who can understand scalable distributed systems, HPC scheduling and ML (as a bonus)
  • Provide both technical and organizational leadership
  • Form cross-functional and cross-discipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts
  • Establish effective strategies and execute against them
  • Uphold a culture of respect, integrity, inclusion, innovation
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience building and supporting large scale distributed systems
  • Significant technical industry experience
  • Extensive management experience
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning
  • Experience with HPC
  • Experience building AI infra systems at scale
