Reality Labs (RL) at Meta develops and builds cutting edge Virtual and Augmented Reality products and related Accessories. The role of a Supply Planner is high-impact and complex, and it must be undertaken by someone who is capable of solving complex problems and holds a passion for doing “what it takes”. The Supply Planner is responsible for end-to-end supply chain planning and will act as the single point of contact for global supply availability for the product(s) in their portfolio. This includes capacity and factory scheduling, leading the supply input into the weekly Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP; long-term planning) processes for the product(s) in the assigned portfolio. The role also manages the ex-factory and supply commit processes for the associated contract manufacturing sites. Additionally, the position involves steering all stages of inventory planning from New Product Introduction (NPI) to End Of Life (EOL) for the products in their assigned portfolio (hero products and accessories).
Supply Planner, Reality Labs Responsibilities
  • Serve as contact for Global Supply Planning and product availability for the items in their portfolio.
  • Engage in the monthly S&OP activities for assigned products providing recommendations for finished goods, materials, and capacity plans.
  • Engage in the weekly S&OE process for assigned products providing information to cross functional teams to support supply and demand planning objectives.
  • Develops weekly capacity/material constrained production plans (build plan/Master Production Schedule) to fulfill the requirements created in the Demand Plan.
  • Partner with NPI Operations and Manufacturing Operations to model capacity scenarios and build plans for NPIs to come up with Capacity recommendations for finished goods.
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, Channel Operations and Logistics to plan and deliver the required launch volumes for NPIs
  • Understands multi-channel demand signals for the products in the assigned portfolios and provides actionable recommendations to respond/adjust trends (e-commerce, retail, enterprise, non-revenue).
  • Creates and maintains inventory plans for finished goods across regional DCs considering operational and fulfillment service policies, financial targets, and cost-effective transportation considerations.
  • Is accountable for creating, communicating, and monitoring detailed requested Ship Plans at the contract manufacturing sites (forecast, commits, build plans, PO creation, E&O planning).
  • Partners with Contract Manufacturing Operations to ensure that site capacities are properly modeled and optimized across the network in meeting customer demand.
  • Identification and resolution of supply issues, including assisting in sourcing materials, communication, escalation, and coordination of resolution.
  • Develops and manages inbound priorities.
  • Accountable for supply chain key performance indicators (KPI) associated with the assigned product portfolio.
  • Lead automation and development initiatives related to planning systems and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in relevant Supply Planning roles or relevant experience
  • Experience in scenario modeling, experience building data models with large data sets
  • Experience working on ERP systems (specifically related to planning, order management, allocations, and fulfillment)
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience retrieving insights/reports from data portals (Tableau, Business Intelligence hubs)
  • Experience presenting/influencing management
  • Experience driving decision making through fact-based analysis and rationale
  • Experience prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • BS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant Supply Planning roles, preferably in Consumer Electronics
  • Experience working with Supply Planning Systems for generating multi-site build plans considering capacity, material availability, ship-mode strategy, etc.
  • Experience with global manufacturing and CM management
  • Experience developing solutions for supply chain systems and automation
  • MS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Certification in supply chain/materials management (e.g., APICS)

$113,000/year to $165,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
