Meta is seeking a highly experienced audience marketing professional to help us grow the awareness, adoption, and sentiment of Meta’s Llama (Large Language Model Meta AI) with developers across the ecosystem, including startups and governments. A successful candidate must have a proven track record of building and scaling high performing audience marketing teams and programs, to drive awareness, adoption and sentiment in the rapidly moving GenAI and LLM space. As the CMO for Llama, this director will be highly comfortable and thrive in a fast paced ambiguous environment and be highly willing to drive innovative, bold, and effective marketing programs and campaigns.
Director, Llama Marketing Responsibilities
  • Proactively and assertively develop, innovate, and own the Llama audience marketing strategy to deliver on the company goal of having the most widely adopted, open source LLM in the world
  • Lead and curate a high performing team that will devise and execute the Llama audience marketing strategy and execution plan for developers across the ecosystem. This will include leading with an audience first mindset
  • Partner and drive alignment across the Meta gen AI team (partnerships, BD, product, consumer marketing, comms, legal, data science, brand, etc.) to inclusively deliver impactful marketing campaigns
  • Lead the high performing team whose work product powers the marketing flywheel (awareness, education, thought leadership, engagement)
  • Partner with our experiential and scaled marketing teams to innovate and executive measurable developer events, digital campaigns, case studies/thought leadership, and other relevant activations
  • Lead the team that will manage creative, strategy and operations agencies for strategy & design development, campaign production & implementation, and digital content production
  • Partner directly with Data Science and Data Engineering to develop an innovative and quantitative measurement methodology and approach
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of professional experience in technology, engineering, or marketing
  • 10+ years experience leading and forming high performing diverse teams, including managing managers of people
  • Marketing experience launching and driving adoption of new products and services in the GenAI space, via impactful marketing campaigns and events
  • Experience influencing at all levels of the organization up to the CEO and other, cross-functional VP leaders
  • Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, with experience adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating
  • Proven experience at communicating clearly and assertively our marketing plans and vision
  • Experience synthesizing complex topics and communicating concepts in the clear way
  • Experience working directly with developers (in a customer first way) across the ecosystem, including at tech companies, enterprise partners, startups, and government
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interested in GenAI, active member of the developer community in this space
  • Balance of creative and analytical thinking, experience putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework

$296,000/year to $356,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
