Meta is looking for an Illustrator to join the Geodesic Visual Systems team in supporting Meta’s ads and business products. The role is to partner with Meta’s product teams to create illustrations in our new illustration style and implement them across our products at a high level of quality that inspires user confidence, clarity, and trust. We are looking for an experienced creative to join the team with a background in illustration. This includes executing against creative briefs, working closely with cross-functional partners, and ensuring quality throughout the entire creation process. You will be collaborating and providing a creative point of view with animators, art directors, content designers, product designers, and engineers to grow and evolve work from a design perspective.

Illustrator, Geodesic Visual Systems Responsibilities

Help maintain the highest level of visual design craft in our products

Generate concepts and illustrations quickly based on team art direction and stakeholder feedback

Manage multiple individual projects in an organized way that guarantees on time delivery and a clear work flow

Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Content Strategists, Art Directors, and Creative Directors to understand how the product needs map within an illustration/animation system

Consider how all aspects of a product (content, design, and illustration) work together, and how illustration can be used to strengthen user experience

Minimum Qualifications

An illustration portfolio that demonstrates conceptual, compositional, and color skills

Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and vector graphics

Experience working on projects such as editorial illustrations, storyboards, narrative, promotional campaigns

Experience developing illustration concepts for motion and telling universal stories

Presentation, interpersonal, and communication experience

Knowledge in scaling illustration systems

4+ years of experience in illustration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience creating simple animations in After Effects

Experience developing creative for in-product use

Experience working with Figma design tool

$94,000/year to $142,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
