At Meta’s Reality Labs Research (RL-R), we are developing the future of virtual and augmented reality. As an Operations Program Manager, you will be a critical member of the team and work closely with a multi-disciplinary group of research teams. You’ll ensure that all the operational needs of the team are met to enable our ambitious research programs to succeed. You will work with teams across RL-R including other research teams, product, legal, finance, HR, operations, and facilities to build impactful relationships, serve as a dependable point of contact, and ensure your program’s needs are met. To do this, you will need a blend of project management and operations acumen to collaborate cross-functionally. To be successful, you will be eliminating barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating their work to all stakeholders, and ensuring the big picture stays in focus while delving into the details on specific issues. If you’ve worked at a consulting firm but want to own moving to future state, or at a start up building impactful processes but want access to all the resources required to do so, or you’ve been at a larger firm but want to move quickly - this is the role for you.
Operations Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Drive operational best practices and continuous improvement in business operations, project delivery and resource management.
  • Identify the need, create, implement, sustain and improve processes, policies and tooling to support agile ways of working. Understand the interconnectedness of problems within larger systems, addressing root causes.
  • Serve as program manager responsible for the overall technical, cost, schedule, quality and performance for Operational programs that include budgeting and forecasting, procurement processes, communications (including internal & external conferences, demos, documentation, summary reports) and resource tracking and management.
  • Ensure projects and tasks are prioritized, completed on time, provide status updates through metrics, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders.
  • Apply proven and effective methods and precedents to solve problems
  • evaluate several known factors, and adapt existing approaches to deliver solutions
  • Translate strategy into structured plan. Autonomously set up project structure leveraging existing formats, and contribute to team alignment by connecting project goals to team/organization goals and communicating to the team and leadership.
  • Effectively use project structure to drive execution of a project’s defined scope, focusing on key objectives and managing interdependencies, managing risk, and reporting. Understand the main impacts of the changes created by the project and support the team through those as appropriate.
  • Efficiently analyze data and translate it into actions. Provide input and recommendations to influence decisions and implements changes within the team with minimal guidance.
  • Clearly communicate in a timely and collaborative way.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of project management or operations management experience.
  • Track record of operating independently, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
  • Experience building relationships with predefined stakeholders from varying cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational and planning experience.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.
  • Interpersonal experience with resolving conflicts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
  • 5+ years experience with budget ownership.
  • Project Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master or equivalent experience on teams developing hardware and software solutions.
  • Experience managing projects with remote or distributed teams.

$94,000/year to $136,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
