The Company Marketing team at Meta is looking for an accomplished brand strategy leader with a proven track record of building global brands. The Director of Brand Strategy for Meta Company Marketing will be responsible for establishing the Meta brand, creating connectivity across our brand portfolio, defining company-wide marketing strategy for key areas of investment and helping bring to life the Meta brand through best-in-class storytelling. This is a foundational role within our global company marketing organization, and will work closely with leaders across marketing, product and the company more broadly. The ideal candidate will have strategic consumer marketing experience at a global consumer company, having developed close cross-functional partnerships with Creative, Insights, and Data Science while having successfully influenced stakeholders across Product, Communications, Policy and Business. To be successful, this person will need to connect the dots between business, product and brand strategy, extract meaningful insights and translate them into crisp strategies, plans and inspiring creative briefs. They will have a clearly defined management approach and a history of building diverse, inclusive, resilient, high impact teams.
Director of Brand Strategy, Meta Company Marketing Responsibilities
  • Establish and evolve the brand strategy and positioning for Meta, within the Company marketing team and working collaboratively across the company and portfolio of products and services
  • Deepen, broaden and scale the brand strategy function within the company serving as a brand evangelist and influence company leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Become an expert of Meta’s portfolio of products and community
  • Lead a diverse, inclusive and high performing brand strategy team
  • Nurture individual growth of your team
  • Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives
  • Apply focused strategy across diverse, concurrent strategic programs campaigns and partnerships
  • Lead with clarity and strategic vision - ensuring the team is focused on the right business needs
  • Drive campaign evaluation and optimization
  • Distill and interpret cultural, technological business and market data to inform strategic direction of many teams, including creative development
  • Identify and champion the conditions required for implementing a lasting brand idea
  • Focus on briefing excellence - deliver inspiring and integrated creative briefings across marketing teams and internal creative. Collaborate and support creative teams before and after the briefing
  • Present to executive stakeholders with compelling strategies and ideas grounded in data
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years experience as a brand planner or strategist at a brand design or creative agency, business consultancy, research company or in-house team
  • 10+ years people management experience leading brand strategy and planning teams, including experience managing other leaders
  • Experience across key areas of brand building including data, insights, portfolio strategy, brand strategy and creative strategy
  • Experience leading teams, collaborating and influencing at a large, global matrixed organization
  • Global brand development experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing brand ideas for a complex product ecosystem or portfolio of brands
  • Reputation management experience
  • International experience with diverse cultural, social and business landscapes
  • Experience working in-house at a global consumer brand
  • Experience in the technology sector
