Software Engineer, Machine Learning Responsibilities

Design and develop a model training platform for Marketplace ML models.

Develop Python APIs for ML engineers to update model configurations, launch model training and evaluation, and compare models.

Drive adoption of the platform and APIs for new models and use cases.

Develop automated workflows for ML model feature selection and feature correlation analysis.

Develop web applications with PHP, HTML, and Javascript.

Design core, backend software components, Conduct design and code reviews.

Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

Set direction and goals for the team regarding project impact, product quality and engineering efficiency.

Lead major initiatives, projects, teams, roll-outs and phased-releases.

Helps onboard new team members, provides mentorship and enables successful ramp up on teams code bases.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics or related field

Requires completion of a university-level course, research project or internship involving the following

Machine Learning Framework(s): PyTorch, MXNet, or Tensorflow

Machine learning, recommendation systems, ranking systems, computer vision, natural language processing, data mining, or distributed systems

Translating insights into business recommendations

Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PHP, or shell scripts

C, C++, C#, or Java

Python, PHP, or Haskell

Relational databases and SQL

Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands

Building highly-scalable performant solutions

Data structures and algorithms

$185,644/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
