- Support Meta’s systems to keep the business growing and information safe.
- Grow the Linux environment by solving configuration, authentication, and infrastructure problems at scale.
- Build, scale, and secure Meta’s corporate infrastructure, focusing specifically on the Linux environment.
- Combine open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the business.
- Work in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well together.
- Apply modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to scale Meta’s rapidly growing Enterprise infrastructure.
- Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Meta infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.
- Be the final escalation point for issues related to Enterprise Linux systems.
- Produce systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to take on operations.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Foreign equivalent accepted) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Requires 48 months in the following:
- 1. Building intuitive systems in at least one of the following: Java, PHP, C++, or JavaScript technologies such as ReactJS or AngularJS
- 2. Working with code bases building micro services, REST APIs, and GraphQL
- 3. Modeling data flows between systems to enable transactional workflows and upstream or downstream integrations
- 4. Building secure software with auditable access controls and permissions
- 5. Unix or Linux
- 6. Python and JavaScript.
