Meta is seeking a dynamic, experienced Business Planning and Operations (BP&O) Leader to lead the team supporting Business Engineering (BE). BE is a critical function within our global sales organization that focuses on helping clients adopt technical best practices and implement Meta first and third-party solutions. This BP&O leader will lead a globally dispersed multi-functional team responsible for enabling our go-to market strategy, driving business planning and review efforts, strategic initiatives and managing/supporting the overall operating cadence of the Business Engineering organization. This person will support the VP, Business Engineering, communicating a shared vision with cross-functional groups to efficiently deliver programs and solutions that deliver results at scale and operate as a cohesive and integrated team. This leader will be accountable for overall Strategy & Planning, Process & Operations and Analytics & Insights aligned to the Business Engineering organization. This position will support hybrid working.
Director, Business Planning & Operations, Business Engineering Responsibilities
  • Lead teams on medium/long-term planning including business potential, resourcing and organizational design
  • Establish consultative relationship across the company to achieve strategic and operational goals and represent the function in cross-functional teams
  • Provide unbiased perspectives by understanding global imperatives and tradeoffs and ultimately ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of Meta overall
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with leaders across Meta teams (e.g. sales, product, engineering, GMS, marketing, human resources, business planning/operations and finance) through collaboration to drive initiatives cross Meta
  • Develop and guide organizational effectiveness, proactive talent planning, change management and conflict resolution
  • Drive operational reviews and rhythm of the business, leading business analysis including revenue, customer and market analysis
  • Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for global teams, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Drive execution through ability to quickly move from high-level conversations into detailed operational discussions
  • Oversee building of standard business review documents and business requirements for reporting and lead operational reviews to drive decisions and track progress to goals
  • Facilitate analytical deep dives on areas of the business requiring in depth diagnosis

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 14+ years of work experience (or 12+ years work experience with MBA/Master’s degree) involving strategic planning, analytical and operational rigor as typically seen in, but not limited to, functions such as management strategy consulting, finance, business operations, or sales planning and operations
  • 5+ years people management, influencing and coaching skills, with the experience leading cross-functional teams not directly reporting to you
  • Experience influencing individuals at the C-Suite or Executive level and driving strategic business decisions
  • Communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights and data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, experience solving complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
  • Experience to effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexity to overcome obstacles with moderate direction
  • Demonstrable success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and system
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA
  • Experience with engineering product development or sale/solution engineering
