Meta Reality Labs is looking for an experienced leader to take on the role of North America Lead, Physical and Field Merchandising. This role will lead a team in the planning and orchestration of display programs across third party retail (including Telecommunications & secondary channels.) The role will also liaise with the Global Visual Merchandising team, helping provide critical inputs from a planning and localization perspective to ensure requirements for all NA retail are captured in strategic planning initiatives. This lead is responsible for maintaining the budgeting, planning, production, logistics, execution and ongoing maintenance for all displays within the NA region. You will have experience leading, communicating and collaborating effectively across internal cross-functional partners - including Sales, Marketing, Creative and Product. The position entails establishing and strengthening relationships with Meta third-party agencies/vendors in the North American market to drive the Meta retail display strategy.
North America Lead - Physical and Field Merchandising Responsibilities
  • Recruit, lead and develop a team of physical and field merchandising individual contributors that work cross-functionally with Meta Reality Labs partners to deliver on multiple large-scale initiatives and channel-specific goals for Meta hardware and content
  • Develop the Physical / Field Retail Strategy in collaboration with the NA Channel Enablement lead and Sales / Partner Enablement Manager (channel marketing) leads
  • Develop, lead and execute Merchandising initiatives with retail partners while staying within agreed upon budgets and delivering against key performance indicators
  • Provide continuous measurement and optimization of physical and field programs to drive efficiency
  • Oversee management and distribution of Operating Expenses budget, focusing on metrics such as production efficiency and compliance
  • Present key merchandising materials in front of retailers, executives, business development and internal cross-functional teams
  • Identify new merchandising opportunities and position for review to help in future decisions
  • Build on foundational and net new processes relative to ways of working cross functionally, both within region but also with the Global organizations
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience of overarching retail experience across disciplines like channel marketing, brick and mortar retail and field merchandising
  • 3+ years experience of people management experience
  • 5+ years experience of retail project management experience within the consumer electronics category
  • Experience with Retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Verizon, AT&T etc
  • Understanding of end to end physical retail including design development, production, logistics, installation and ongoing maintenance
  • History of working with production vendors as well as field merchandising vendors
  • Proficient in the creation and maintenance of project trackers across multiple programs and stakeholders
  • Experience maintaining budgets
  • Communication skills with a focus on detail
  • Demonstrated experience thriving in a fast paced environment and navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and handle change management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Global retail experience (not just North America centric)
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Experience building net new processes as it relates to cross functional collaboration & project management
  • History of managing or building out organizational designs

$142,000/year to $202,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
