Production Designer Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product Designers, Design Program managers, and engineers to evolve Feed and Video products in the Facebook App to create the component libraries, templates, and design tools and allow designers to ship high-quality products and deliverables that are consistent and cohesive across our ecosystem.
  • Organize and maintain an extensive library of design files.
  • Create, revise, and maintain individual component files.
  • Provide detailed design specs for components.
  • Explore new variants for existing components.
  • Update and maintain the design system Master Sheets.
  • Regularly communicate documented component updates to internal groups.
  • Create, organize, and assign tasks, including passing design specs to engineers and updating our component library.
  • Troubleshoot issues with design files, such as layer structure and organization.
  • Provide help and guidance in relevant internal feedback groups.
  • Conduct extensive design audits (iOS/Android, screenshots/video recordings).
  • Create Keynotes for workshops and presentations.
  • Closely follow directions and work within established product/department guidelines.
  • Work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree (Or Foreign Degree equivalent) in Computer Graphics, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field and 36 month of experience in the Job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Requires 36 months of experience in the following:
  • 1. Prototyping tools, including Sketch
  • 2. Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • 3. Working independently, and communicating with and receiving direction from cross-functional teams
  • 4. Building Pixel Perfect Screens using Vector in Photoshop
  • 5. Mockup iOS and OSX product screen files in high resolution
  • 6. Building master files of OSX and iOS.

$227,330/year to $236,500/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
