At Meta Reality Labs, we’re developing the future of augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality(MR). As an RF Engineer(Cellular) focused on wireless consumer devices, you will have the opportunity to work on the intricate and complex challenges impacting product design to deliver the state of the art wireless solution. This role is field personnel.
RF Engineer - Cellular Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading cellular activities in APAC:
  • Responsible for RF system implementation throughout a product design cycle.
  • Responsible for the design, simulation, debugging, and optimization of RF front-end circuits for cellular communications (4G/5G NR/FR1/FR2, NB-IoT, etc.), including key modules such as PA, LNA, filters, switches, and matching circuits.
  • Responsible for part selection, prototyping, factory bring up and lab bench debug and root cause.
  • Work with internal cross-functional team and external JDM/CM to successfully bring wireless product to market.
  • Optimize RF conducted and OTA performance by simulation and lab validation.
  • Characterize and debug desense issues to meet requirements.
  • Work with antenna and test engineers to ensure the quality of the overall system.
  • Support EMI/EMC trouble shooting and validation.
  • Domestic and occasionally international travel to achieve program milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in RF design for consumer electronics.
  • Experience with Cellular, GPS and WiFi/BT RF implementation.
  • Experience with RF front-end and SoC Schematic, Layout Capture and Board Bring Up.
  • Work experience with RF lab equipment for device characterization and component/system performance validation.
  • Experience with RF circuit and EM simulation software.
  • Knowledge of RF/wireless system architecture and WiFi/BT/Cellular protocol.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS or PhD in RF/Electromagnetics.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
