Manufacturing is a pillar within Meta’s Preconstruction Team supporting datacenter construction. We exist to support the predictable delivery of capacity at scale through manufactured solutions.
The Manufacturing (aka Manufactured Owner Furnished Equipment “MOFE”) Team’s primary focus is supply chain engagement and optimization. We accept Manufacturing Informed Designed (MID) components and orchestrate their detailing and prototyping to optimum manufacturability, then manage our supply chain and work with our partners to plan logistics and integration optimized construction.
This team is comprised of strategic designers, strategic builders, tactical specialists, plus internal and external subject matter experts (SME) including preconstruction managers, contractors, schedulers, equipment reliability engineers, and sourcing specialists.
This position will be onsite and responsible for logistics and integration of more than 20,000 manufactured components in support of Meta's Holly Ridge project. This mega-project is of such scale that it requires a high-performing PM to drive strategic and tactical aspects of logistics and integration.
Never before have we relied so heavily on offsite construction; a necessity to deliver a project of this magnitude on a fast-paced timeline. The successful candidate will work closely with the contracting team and will be instrumental in ensuring the timely delivery of this capacity on what will be the largest project in Meta's history, and one of a few of the largest datacenters in the world.
Program Manager, Manufacturing Responsibilities
- Logistics Management – lead planning and implementation of shipping, receiving, and site logistics in concert with the Meta program team, offsite manufacturing supply partners, and contractors.
- Integration Management – lead planning and implementation of component integration with Meta program team, offsite manufacturing supply partners, and contractors.
- Manage GC (General Contractor) MOFE Coordinators for logistics, planning, coordination, reporting, lessons learned, etc.
- Risk Matrix development, maintenance, and related reporting
- Cost & Change Coordination with cross-functional partners
- Schedule Development with Engineering/Scheduling, GCs, & Suppliers
- Regular Debriefs / Lessons Learned development, summary and communication to Engineering, Leadership, & cross-functional partners
- Partner with Global QA/QC Team to ensure multi-trade integration and commissioning efforts for onsite efforts.
- Support team learning by bringing lessons learned, vendors, new technology, and other topics to the group for exploration.
- Travel as necessary to suppliers and warehouses for logistics and integration planning / coordination purposes.
- Lead regular onsite meetings for coordination of logistics and integration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or logistics
- Either or both experience in large scale construction management and/or scalable manufacturing
- Manufacturing-for-construction background with understanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain management plus knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the field or industry experience with developing workflows and their associated flowcharts, schedules, and action plans
- Demonstrated experience building consensus and communicating effectively with a wide range of audiences (stakeholders to executive leadership).
- Proven track record of adaptability and critical analysis problem-solving
- Proficient in Google Suite and Bluebeam
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with off-site fabrication, pre-assembly and/or modularization of complex elements for construction projects
- Mission Critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction experience
- Experience working with blended architecture, engineering, manufacturing/assembly and construction teams
- Software experience with eBuilder, Procore, Solidworks, Autodesk modeling software, Primavera P6, and/or BIM 360
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Just In Time (JIT) strategizing, and manufacturing data analytics.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

$144,000/year to $201,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
