- Work directly with cross-functional teams to create epic and engaging experiences
- Own and drive vision from start to completion by collaborating with art, engineering, and animation
- Design and implement high-quality combat scenarios, such as boss fights
- Establish satisfying risk/reward, flow, and feel
- Develop, experiment, and prototype combat experiences
- Manage all aspects of combat design including animation, code, and gameplay needs
- Evolve and understand what makes combat fun and rewarding
- Effectively communicate regularly and problem solve with leadership
- Evaluate features needed to improve and streamline implementation of gameplay systems
- Understand and adhere to hardware limitations using creative solutions
- 5+ years of industry experience working on different platforms
- Shipped 2+ AAA titles on high-end platforms
- Hardcore gamer that understands combat and systems design inside and out
- Demonstrated experience assessing system architecture and combat design needs
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, specifically scripting and UE blueprint
- Understands the specific development challenges within a VR environment
- Experience multi-tasking and adapting easily to change
- Proven communication skills and experience interacting effectively
- Familiar with creating boss fights and combat scenarios
- Animation or code background and/or in a related field
- Experience in VR
