Product Designer Responsibilities
  • Design, prototype, and build flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for Meta's platforms, products, or applications.
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.
  • Design web and mobile workflows and user experiences that are adaptable to users’ changing needs.
  • Utilize a full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems.
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality.
  • Work alongside crossfunctional teams to ensure the feasibility of the design and functionality with the necessary level of finesse.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions with the product and executive teams.
  • Ensure cohesive branding with the marketing team.
  • Identify ways in which technologies can provide new functionality and better user experiences.
  • Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued efficiency in a constantly evolving environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Design, Computer Science, Information Science or a related field.
  • Requires completion of one university-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following skills:
  • 1. Executing on visual and interaction details
  • 2. Interaction Design
  • 3. Web and mobile application design
  • 4. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts
  • 5. Applying visual design to create high-fidelity user interfaces
  • 6. Defining product specifications and user experiences
  • 7. Designing desktop web experiences using work flow diagrams, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, and prototypes
  • 8. Synthesizing user research results to generate design solutions and
  • 9. Creating design using Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator tools.

$177,654/year to $183,370/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
