Meta is seeking an experienced Business Solutions Engineer to assist in the design and deployment of scalable and efficient tools that support all aspects of our logistics/supply chain operations. This role will be required to work closely with cross-functional teams and across boundary organizations to gather requirements, design solutions, implement new tools and processes, and provide ongoing support to these teams.
Business Solutions Engineer Responsibilities
  • Partner with the business and developers to build custom in-house inventory tooling and systems for Data Center & FRL logistics.
  • Design, build and test deploy, maintain and enhance tools and software solutions to support internal automation opportunities.
  • Code using primarily C/C++, PHP, Hack, Python, ReactJS. Conduct design and code reviews. Ability to test, debug, and modify applications.
  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of the in-house inventory tooling and systems.
  • Manage project initiation, deployment and post production support.
  • Proactively and continuously look for systematic and data integrity issues across multiple systems to prioritize and fix.
  • Work closely with developers to understand data structures, data sources and systematic processes during system development.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to assist with best practices and to ensure end-to-end process and tooling consistency.
  • Work with internal business groups to acquire a deep understanding of their processes and operations.
  • Partner with teams to establish supply chain processes to improve Data Center operations focusing on scale, efficiency, and automation.
  • Lead sessions to identify process inefficiencies, gather business requirements, partner with development teams to manage deliverables, testing and validation, roll-out and training, and triage and resolution of issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building scalable tools or systems
  • Experience in managing software development projects and products in a business or technical role.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as C/C++, C#, ASP, VB NET, Java, Perl, Python, R.
  • High level of proficiency with SQL and a good understanding of database systems.
  • Experience in data analytics and capable of digging into data.
  • Experience juggling multiple projects and tasks.
  • Experience documenting designs from both business and systems perspectives.
  • Experience explaining technical issues to both technical and business partners.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrable bias toward action.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing Inventory Management system, Warehouse Management system, Asset Management system, Master Data Management system or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
  • Experience in Asset Management or Inventory Management
  • Experience with system integration using web service APIs.
