Meta is looking for a Technical Program Management Team Lead to support our global Business Engineering organization. Business Engineering is an advertiser-centric technical team that helps solve complex problems and scale solutions while directly working with businesses. The Manager will have both technical and program expertise that can drive results with agility and leadership, and serve as an inspirational team leader that can gain the support of stakeholders. This person will be an innovative, intellectually curious problem solver. They should quickly drive the conversation toward a productive programmatic solution by including the right stakeholders and understanding design trade-offs.
Technical Program Management Team Lead, Global Business Group Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a world-class team of TPMs through a period of continued growth, while forging tight partnerships with stakeholders across teams
  • Support, mentor and nurture the existing technical program management team, showing care and empathy in the face of adversity and complex situations
  • Lead people management for the team, providing performance reviews, continual feedback, coaching and career growth for direct reports
  • Build and lead an organization with customer focus, world-class quality, and effective communication with a focus on decisive, fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive resolutions to conflicts, and drive for impact
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including Sales, Product, and Engineering to define and execute on global partner and product strategies that ensure substantial long-term impact
  • Manage cross-functional programs in a matrixed organization covering a range of areas, defining and owning metrics and key performance indicators
  • Measure and improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes that are working well and build the next level of improvements, setting standards for efficient execution at scale
  • Manage a minimum of 4 direct reports
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience
  • 3+ years experience as a People Manager
  • Demonstrated experience building, growing, and mentoring technical program management, product, or engineering teams, and a proven track record of scaling product development in a highly transformative environment
  • Experience communicating considerations behind program architecture, including how and why the architecture was chosen and systems put in place to run them
  • Experience building large-scale public products and infrastructure
  • Knowledge in technical program management methodologies
  • Experience moving technical or engineering programs from concept to completion and experience articulating the impact using metrics and examples
  • Experience building a team through continual coaching and career growth opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading high-performing agile development teams
  • System design experience
  • Experience learning and applying new technologies quickly
  • Experience having released software or other products to the market

$157,000/year to $218,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
