Meta seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel in Corporate Compliance & Ethics. This position will play a key role in supporting Meta's compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. This is a great opportunity to join a legal team that provides counsel on novel issues at the forefront of technology, environmental health and safety regulations, sustainability and climate regulations, hardware compliance, responsible supply chain management, and healthcare fraud & abuse.
Associate General Counsel, People, Planet, Device Compliance Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and implementation of company-wide compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Advise on legal and regulatory compliance matters across the company, including in the areas of environmental, health and safety (EHS)
  • responsible supply chain
  • hardware compliance (for commercial and infrastructure hardware)
  • sustainability and climate regulations
  • and healthcare fraud & abuse.
  • Develop and communicate compliance policies, processes and training.
  • Manage and conduct internal compliance investigations and risk assessments.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Undertake special projects and support other compliance program initiatives.
  • Manage a team of attorneys supporting the areas above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. with active membership in at least one state bar
  • 8+ years of legal compliance experience in at least one relevant subject matter area
  • Experience operating with cross-functional partners and influencing their roadmaps
  • Experience managing attorneys across a range of subject matter areas.
  • Demonstrated experience setting and meeting ambitious targets
  • Experience consistently driving projects forward and finding opportunities to increase impact
  • Demonstrated experience proactively identifying, scoping and implementing new solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior in-house experience with internet or technology companies and/or at a global law firm

$226,000/year to $304,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
