The Risk and Compliance Operations team ensures Meta is protected from compliance and/or audit risks by implementing, overseeing and enhancing internal and external controls for the purposes of identifying and mitigating risk. The team also protects user personal data through vetting and periodic developer reviews in order to detect apps not compliant with our Platform Policies. Depending on audit outcomes, we may take a variety of actions; everything from implementing management action plans which set requirements for remediation of identified control gaps to working with cross-functional teams to implement system and/or engineering fixes which ensure backend infrastructure is operating as intended. Meta is looking for a Compliance Manager who will be responsible for conducting recurring audits across its monitoring tactics to identify potential violations of our policies. Successful candidates have a keen interest for understanding the “why” behind complex problems. They have a demonstrated audit and compliance background, leverage data and technical expertise to make data driven decisions to mitigate risk, as well as succinctly communicate complex risks and gaps to leadership. In this position, you will interface with internal teams such as Policy, Legal, Engineering, and other Meta Investigation teams, as well as with external Developers using our platforms. Successful candidates understand causation, share lessons learned and demonstrate impact by preventing recurrence.
