More than one billion people around the world use Instagram, and we’re proud to be bringing them closer to the people and things they love. Instagram inspires people to see the world differently, discover new interests, and express themselves.
Since launching in 2010, our community has grown at a rapid pace. Our teams are growing fast, too, and we’re looking for talent across engineering, product management, design, research, analytics and more. In addition to our headquarters in Menlo Park, we have thriving offices in New York City and San Francisco where teams are doing impactful work every day.

Instagram New York

Instagram New York is a major engineering, product, and partnerships hub for us, where teams work on high-impact products like Home (Feed and Comments), Discovery (Search and Explore), and Shopping. IGNY is also home to teams working on machine learning, which is core to most of Instagram’s products. In fact, machine learning at Instagram actually started here.
Our New York office is growing fast, and one-third of the entire Engineering team is located here. To keep up with this growth, we recently expanded and redesigned our office, located in Astor Place in the historic Wanamaker's department store building. Instagram San Francisco

The team at Instagram San Francisco is behind impactful Instagram products including Stories, Live, IGTV, Direct, Profile, and the rich experiences our Camera team develops such as AR effects and video chat. Our new Media Solutions team—which provides influencers with tools to effectively reach their followers—is also based here.
Our development teams include graphics experts and mobile and server infrastructure specialists who build robust systems to power our products at scale. At the same time, collaboration across offices, including New York and Menlo Park, continues to be incredibly important.
IGSF was built to embody Instagram’s core values, putting community first and inspiring self-expression, attention to craft, and simplicity around every corner. Original artwork from local artists and retro furniture brighten the light and airy space, a custom coffee station refuels employees, and our team enjoys being right in the center of city life. Instagram Menlo Park

Our headquarters in Menlo Park is home to some of the most critical work we’re doing right now as a company. We have teams here who are working tirelessly to ensure the Instagram community remains the safest, most welcoming, and kindest community for the more than one billion people who use it. Leading the charge on these efforts is our Well-Being team, which includes diverse talent across infrastructure, security, product, and machine learning.
Our engineers focus on platform abuses like spam, account takeovers, ad fraud, payment fraud and more; as well as supporting people with mental health resources when they need them most. This meaningful work impacts all Instagram products—including Profile, Direct, IGTV, Stories and more—and includes cross-functional collaboration with teams around the world, from Seattle to London.
