Welcome to Facebook Central and Eastern Europe, also known as CEE. CEE is an expansive and diverse region that counts 28 countries, from Warsaw in West to Vladivostok in East. There are even more spoken languages, from Croatian and Czech to Hungarian and Polish.
We love to embrace the diversity of CEE at Facebook Warsaw. This fast-growing office has many open roles, with teams that range from policy, measurement, and engineering to creative, communications, and marketing. Every team member has tremendous autonomy and full project ownership, along with incredible growth potential and the opportunity to make an impact.
In this sense, working at Facebook in Warsaw feels like being at a startup, as the environment is vibrant and inclusive. Our teams in CEE welcome those who are relocating from other Facebook offices and those who are joining Facebook for the first time. Wondering what it's like to work at Facebook in CEE? We spoke with three team members to get an inside look at the office culture, work opportunities, and relocation benefits.
Anna-Maria T., Head of Russia, Warsaw office
“I started my career at Facebook in Warsaw. I then spent three years at Facebook Dublin, and last year I moved back to Warsaw. One of the great advantages of relocating is the opportunity for growth. With encouragement from my manager, I found roles that matched my experience and challenged me in my career. I’m happy that I gained global perspectives with each move. Facebook made the whole process very easy. They packed and transported my belongings, and facilitated my work permit paperwork.
Facebook Warsaw has a start-up feel; the teams are diverse with folks from Russia to Greece working together and the office is growing fast. Our office is regional hub and home to 11 nationalities from the 28 countries that we serve, and there are many opportunities to travel. CEE is still an emerging region, so we’re focused on building relationships with partners across Central and Eastern Europe. Each person who joins the team has an opportunity to own projects and contribute to our growth. There’s a lot of room for personal career growth, too.“ —Anna-Maria T., Head of Russia, Warsaw office
Patrycja M., Client Partner, Dublin office
“I honestly believe now is a great time to join Facebook. There are many initiatives and projects across the 28 countries here in Central and Eastern Europe. When I first joined Facebook Warsaw, I had the extraordinary opportunity to develop an agency ecosystem across CEE from scratch. Afterwards, I've built a ground for finance and technology verticals. After four years at Facebook Warsaw, I moved to Dublin to gain more global experience. Today, I lead market strategies for the biggest CEE countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
I’m also very passionate about supporting and empowering women at work, especially as a mom. I’m the regional leader of our internal EMEA resource group and support creating a diverse and inclusive environment. Facebook is an incredibly dynamic environment where everyone can find their place, and I love the culture. There are more than 93 nationalities in the Dublin office alone. There’s never a shortage of experience to learn from, and I really appreciate it.” —Patrycja M., Client Partner, Dublin office
Vangelis K., Client Solutions Manager, Warsaw office
“The Global Business Group team is focused on building business value. We believe in building solid relationships with our business partners and being a part of their growth. Right now, as a client solutions manager, I work with advertisers and their agencies in Romania and Greece. I love to travel, and I often visit our clients to ensure they’re able to make the most of our platforms and solutions.
When I’m not out visiting our partners, I work at Facebook Warsaw, which is the business hub for this part of Central and Eastern Europe. Though I’m originally from Greece, Facebook gave me the opportunity to relocate to Poland. I was immediately impressed with how rich the culture is here. There are artistic elements everywhere in this city, from the rich musical heritage to the architecture. Moving to Warsaw has helped me grow professionally and personally, and I’m really grateful for the opportunity.” —Vangelis K., Client Solutions Manager, Warsaw office
We are also hiring for our Global Business Group in Ireland. Check out this video to learn more about relocating and finding a community in Dublin.
