This new role is being asked to bring people management skills, and an ability to drive program execution. With construction jobsites throughout NORAM, this role will be tasked with continuing the journey of our world class safety program.
Loss Control Area Manager - NORAM Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Geographical Loss Control Managers (3-6) to implement strategic initiatives, while empowering those managers to develop tactical execution and safety professional growth.
  • Responsible for North America Loss Control team health in alignment with DEC and Meta values to ensure sustainable performance at scale.
  • Establish and foster a high performing team. Mentor and develop future leaders through proactive feedback and intentional performance management.
  • Interpret, synthesize, and communicate North America’s Safety performance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educate and enforce Loss Control program standards and serve as point of escalation for NORAM Geographical Loss Control Managers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify areas of improvement, and accomplishments. Through this collaboration, they are responsible to effectively share lessons learned and develop optimized execution approaches.
  • Interface at the Area manager peers and Geographical teams between design, construction, and facility operations leadership as well as the project/program teams to ensure embedment of the Loss Control vision and strategy.
  • Provide strategic feedback and direction to internal/external program leaders and geographical staff on the Loss Control program regarding Meta’s expectations and requirements.
  • Support partnership with Safety sponsors through proactive communication, strategic thinking, positive engagement, and offering subject matter expertise.
  • Being able to effectively lead high performing teams by demonstrating managerial skillsets that are central to Meta’s management expectations. Functioning as a positive leader who empowers others and promotes the ability for others to succeed are central to being successful in this role.
  • Able to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on, start-up work environment.
  • Ability to travel to CA headquarters and other data center locations on a regular basis.
  • Considerable Travel (up to 50%) within North America.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety/Occupational Health or equivalent technical degree and/or 10+ years direct professional experience in leading safety programs on large scale geographically spanned regions.
  • 10+ years of field experience pertaining to large scale construction projects, functioning as a safety professional.
  • 4+ years of experience in managing people managers that manage safety professionals.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, maturing, and implementing large scale safety programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in mission critical environments, while leading teams and demonstrating an experience driving whole scale execution.
  • Proven communication skills and the experience leading strategic improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data center design and construction experience.
  • Success in matrixed organization structures.
  • Experience in building and cultivating high performance organizations.
  • Experience working with a variety of safety systems.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering team cultures that empower all team members and promote open dialog.
  • BCSP Safety Certification.

$143,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits , if applicable.
