The News Partnerships team collaborates with the world’s largest and most exciting media organizations, public figures, and influencers on high-profile product opportunities. We seek an experienced individual who has extensive knowledge of the news industry, its content strategies, business models, and challenges. The role provides day-to-day support to Middle East, Africa and Turkey News Partnerships team – with a focus on organizing partners reviews, triaging partner issues and requests, communicating by email, phone and video conference with partners, and tracking ongoing partner activity, communications and programs.
Operations Specialist, News Partnership - 6 month contract Responsibilities
  • Organize and build supportive case study material – get relevant collateral and sign off from partners
  • Log partner requests into internal systems, following up on requests and resolutions, and communicating back to the partners where appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the News partnerships and Partner Solutions teams, as well as with cross-functional teams such as Partnerships, Product, Media Operations and Partner Engineering teams
  • Liaise with partner contacts, suppliers, contractors and Facebook staff to organize meetings and events
  • Keep meeting notes and write reports
Minimum Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in Process Management, Account Management and/or Partner Management, preferably in the internet or content industries
  • Familiar with CRM tools and punctuation in following troubleshooting procedures.
  • Bilingual English and Arabic is a must
  • Operationally excellent, with a track record of improving operational processes, seeking areas of improvement and acting quickly to prioritize the most important issues for the business.
  • News literacy and familiarity with the news industry are required
