3D Art Lead

3D Art Lead Responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing creative vision for Avatar experiences, fitting into the concept strategy created by the Art Director and Creative Director
  • Responsible for crafting clear, appealing, and emotive assets and experiences that represent a global audience
  • Help concept out new avatar-based expression products across the Meta portfolio
  • Work with Animation Lead, Art Director, Technical Art Lead and other necessary leads to oversee the quality of the final produced assets, especially from an appeal and readability point of view
  • Collaborate with the Art Producer to forge strong creative partnerships with external vendors to scale up the production, either in terms of conceptual designs, or building the assets themselves in 3D
  • Work with the Art Director and the Art Manager to manage expectations for key stakeholders regarding the execution of quality content
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to strengthen and scale the production pipeline
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience and knowledge of character based art processes and production pipelines
  • Portfolio demonstrating a proven understanding of 3D design, characters, storytelling, environment design and visual systems
  • Experience working on high stakes, high impact projects
  • Experience leading and pitching creative projects and collaborating with senior leadership teams
  • Experience designing within unique creative/technical constraints and driving successful visual compromises in response
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience adapting their work to new immersive mediums such as 3D and VR
  • Known as an industry leader in their area of specialization

$121,000/year to $171,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
