FRL Research Software Engineer Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership, operating as a technical product owner and architect of a next generation, on-device AI software platform for AR/VR
  • Work with local and remote cross-functional teams to lead the creation and integration of machine learning and AI modeling, novel input and output hardware, and novel interaction paradigms to ensure scalable systems
  • Apply AI research on novel intelligent interfaces to define a stable, scalable, and flexible system
  • building and deploying scalable ML models
  • Collaborate in a team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines, to integrate results into platforms and experiences
  • Prioritize and get things done with a high level of efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in leading and coordinating teams of developers in large-scale AI projects
  • 10+ years experience in software development across all levels of the stack
  • 5+ years experience leading design and delivery of software APIs and ML frameworks/platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in AI research
  • Experience in tech transfer
  • Experience in HCI research
  • Familiarity with machine learning or deep learning
  • Proficiency with Python, C++
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow

$205,000/year to $281,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
