Our Core Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future Oculus products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, Core Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.
As the Core Tech Technical Program Manager for Data, you will be pivotal in defining and driving the way the core tech organization interacts with data, that is, from collection to utilization, whether it is models for machine learning/algorithm development or as metrics to aid that development. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires gathering of requirement from various teams and defining how to best align this effort given each team's needs and the strength of Facebook's internal tools. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the power of data and its impact on an organization that is delivering the next cutting-edge technology which will shape the future of VR.
Core Tech TPM, Data and ML Responsibilities
  • Work with internal teams to understand data, ML model development and data collection systems needs
  • Lead cross-functionally to define schedule, requirements, resource plans, integration plans, prioritize initiatives, and proactively identify/address potential setbacks
  • Work with external vendors, assist with vendor budget management, and work with software engineering to deliver SW solutions/features in a fast-paced environment
  • Establish program management framework and process for managing and tracking deliverables to each team efficiently
  • Manage operations of projects including schedule, budget, logistics, and resource/equipment planning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistical issues
  • Develop scalable and sustainable processes/tools to drive improvements in efficiency, throughput and cost
  • Communicate program status, risks and mitigation plans to AR/VR solutions and executives
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a data scientist/program manager.
  • Communication experience and experience working with technical teams.
  • Problem-solving experience, organizational experience and a focus on improvement.
  • Interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Core ML model development in AR/VR/Consumer Electronics/Robotics is preferred

$132,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
