Facebook Silicon Program Management team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our technologies will enable AR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistor, through architecture, to firmware, and algorithms. We are looking for a professional with AI/ML background who can contribute to products from algorithms through implementation. You will need a blend of deep technical understanding of data and ML and management to collaborate cross-functionally across software, hardware, and business units to ensure success. This role will also expose you to many cross functional teams and you will get to experience building AI first products for the future. This position will help you leverage your technical skills in a multi-functional leadership role. This is a phenomenal opportunity to engage in cutting edge technologies from the get-go. This role requires you to ensure that our custom silicon designs meet the technical, quality and schedule requirements on complex products. You will utilize your technical know-how and program management skills, to drive program schedules and resolve technical issues that enable on-time quality delivery. You will help focus design teams on meeting schedule and unblocking technical issues. You will drive focused technical sessions to track and follow up on issues.
Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for AI/ML TPM execution.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across AI Research, Software and Hardware engineering and cross-functional AI leadership.
  • Work with a cross-functional team of AI research scientists, product management, silicon engineering, SW to set milestones, create integration plans and identify/address potential setbacks/risks and mitigation plans that enable the definition and execution of next generation FRL products.
  • Develop schedules, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the duration of programs.
  • Effectively communicate program status to key cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery.
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.
  • Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of AI/ML software engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception through delivery to post launch.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering multiple features into products and services.
  • Experience with data tools, pipelines, and analytics.
  • Understanding of the relationship between data and machine learning models.
  • Entrepreneurial background or start-up experience.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and disruptive technologies.
