The FP&A team manages Facebook’s entire budget of revenue and expense. We focus on using our unique view into ‘the numbers’ to see trends and opportunities that are developing within Facebook and within related industries. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, have exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast. In this specific role, you will join a team that manages the finances for Facebook’s largest expense area - the technology & infrastructure groups. These groups are responsible for scaling to serve more than three billion users, while custom designing and building Facebook’s software, network, servers and data centers to connect the world. This role is focused on building out the data analytics function within infrastructure finance. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. You will be challenged every day to utilize deep knowledge of SQL and statistics to solve complex problems in a scalable way. You will be responsible for translating complex data into meaningful interpretations and recommendations for your business partners.
Business Operations Associate, Server Fleet Analytics Responsibilities
  • Develop a detailed understanding of infrastructure operations, drivers of infrastructure growth, hardware roadmaps, and infrastructure investments
  • Develop a deep understanding of data tables and metrics for analyzing fleet resources and usage
  • Work with large complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine, analysis problems
  • Deliver dashboards and reporting on a regular cadence to allow business users to interact with the complex analysis work
  • Apply an analytical lens to identify financial impacts of projected investments
  • Contribute to near-term and long-range strategic planning
  • Partner closely, collaborate, and develop deep relationships with infrastructure engineering & cross-functional infrastructure operations organizations
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and infrastructure technology concepts
  • Knowledge of SQL, Tableau
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships and partnering with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in Financial modeling and Analytics from a consulting, investment banking, private equity or Fortune 500 company
  • Knowledge of financial planning tools (e.g. Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Essbase)
  • Self-driven towards short/long term team's goal in fast pace/ambiguous work environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, willingness to multi-task, and a team player
