Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Will lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development cycle, developing consumer hardware for Facebook
  • Build, coordinate, and maintain hardware features and schedules, and track execution at task level across cross-functional teams, coordinate shared resources, and ensure timely delivery
  • Capture and keep detailed and well-organized records of hardware design requirements, cross-functional communication, meetings, problems and risks
  • Facilitate hardware and system design, problem solving and risk mitigation
  • Identify resources needed and work closely with team leaders to maintain full visibility of the project schedule and potential roadblocks, escalating for executive support when necessary
  • Build and manage relationships with contract manufacturers, hardware component and silicon vendors
  • Drive deliverables from external partners and ensure that they have the information and resources needed to succeed
  • Understand and communicate technical information to Facebook management
Minimum Qualifications
  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 7 years of work experience in job offered or in a hardware development role. Experience must include 24 months of experience in each of the following:
  • Technical program management
  • Hardware engineering (mechanical or electrical)
  • Building relationships and collaborating within cross-functional teams and with external partners
  • Understanding product requirements and translating needs into plans
  • Leading complex hardware development efforts
  • Managing projects, and developing and driving high-level strategic initiatives
