Associate General Counsel, Infrastructure & Telecom

Meta is seeking a highly motivated team player to join the Infrastructure & Telecom Legal team as Associate General Counsel. The candidate will partner with our business and other cross functional teams including policy, tax, compliance and comms teams to tackle product, legal, and commercial issues associated with telecommunications infrastructure and services across the Asia Pacific region.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in either Singapore or Gurgaon.
Associate General Counsel, Infrastructure & Telecom Responsibilities
- Structure, draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements in support of the expansion of Meta’s network infrastructure, including joint build agreements and supply contracts for the construction or use of fiber-optic terrestrial and subsea cable systems, dark fiber leases and IRUs, and colocation agreements.
- Identify issues and collaborate with other internal teams (e.g., Finance, Tax, Compliance) and external counsel to structure appropriate commercial frameworks and support global network initiatives.
- Advise on legal and regulatory risks associated with telecom infrastructure and services, coordinate with other internal regulatory and policy teams to respond to regulatory inquiries and disputes, and support/develop advocacy related to emerging laws and regulations.
- Provide business and legal advice to develop effective relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Handle administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in a common law jurisdiction (or equivalent)
- Experience drafting and negotiating technical infrastructure and/or telecommunications agreements, in-house in a carrier/telecom company or top-tier law firm supporting global telecommunications and/or technology
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills along with excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
- Diligent, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
- Able to travel as and when required
