Meta is looking for an Internal Communications Manager for the Enterprise Engineering team. The Enterprise Engineering team approaches technology creatively and builds custom, cutting-edge systems and tools that securely support and empower our internal teams around the world. Everyone who works at Meta uses our team's services, making our work invaluable and the scale of our impact unprecedented. You will serve as a key counselor to the People Engineering leadership team within Enterprise Engineering, as we work to tell powerful stories to our internal audiences - articulating product strategies, strengthening our employee experience, and building confidence and trust in our leadership team. You’ll also craft engaging content to help build our brand with external candidates. We are looking for someone who excels at working collaboratively, enjoys writing, is obsessed with delivering high-quality strategic work. You should have deep experience leading proactive internal communications initiatives, managing cross-functional projects, influencing and driving alignment across stakeholder groups and executives, and telling complex stories in a simple and compelling way. Additional qualities that will serve you well in this role: attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment, comfortable working in ambiguity, experience working with engineering teams and a passion for out-of-the-box thinking.
Enterprise Engineering Internal Communications Manager Responsibilities
  • Support and execute communication initiatives in partnership with teams across Enterprise Engineering
  • Draft internal announcements that support our initiatives, communities, product launches and program rollouts
  • Consult with leaders on communication and change management strategies
  • Craft technology-focused content around technical topics for posts, emails, videos, profiles, presentations, blogs and case studies, for internal and external use, when appropriate
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to share People Engineering milestones and narratives with internal and external audiences
  • Work cross-functionally with Communications, Events, PR and Product teams to align on communication goals, channel strategy, and messaging
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years professional experience working in internal communications, corporate communications, and/or executive communications
  • Experience producing content for internal and external audiences of technologists and engineers
  • Experience writing and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and to work autonomously including managing remote and in-person events
  • Experience building communication plans as well as executing against them
  • Experience counseling and influencing executives on communication strategies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience writing for a global audience and across multiple channels
  • Bachelors Degree in English, Communications or related field or equivalent
