The Deployment Project Manager is responsible for driving the full cycle of design, scheduling and deployment of shared and collaborative IT Equipment in new or remodelled Meta offices. Equipment includes audio visual and video conferencing systems, printers, digital wayfinding, production events spaces, specialty demo spaces and more. The DPM partners with facilities and IT to ensure the effective deployment of innovative spaces that help drive collaboration and communication company wide. DPM work generally overlaps with and is heavily interdependent on construction work, and the DPM works to ensure ideal site conditions for installed technology. Lastly, the project management component includes project leadership, planning, execution, control, financial responsibility and post-project review.
Deployment Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Leads the strategic design, procurement, deployment and commissioning of shared and collaborative IT gear in Meta office builds, including the verticals of: Video Conferencing, End-User IT equipment, Events production gear, Digital Wayfinding, and Specialized IT Systems
  • Attends design build meetings & work collaboratively across organizations
  • Regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variances. Make needed corrections, including design drawings, timelines, scope, and standards
  • Performs detailed financial tracking, including budget, purchase orders, invoices and variances
  • Accountable for providing the Project Sponsor and stakeholders with a routine status of the Builds project, actively communicating technical issues and risks, and minimizing the impact of these issues and risk
  • Coordinates with Facilities, Engineering, and CorpNet on overall project timelines, dependencies, and risk/issues
  • Applies Meta standards in determining the design, bill of materials, and drawings for new and remodeled offices
  • Consults with Design Engineering/SMEs for non-standard spaces
  • Engages with third party vendors for hardware procurement, scheduling, and integration
  • Project manages onsite integration of IT equipment
  • Removes roadblocks for technicians onsite during deployment
  • Performs testing and commissioning handovers with third party vendors
  • Performs box-walks (at active construction sites) and interact with general contractors/subcontractors to ensure ideal installation conditions for Meta scoped technology
  • Uses drafting software to markup architectural drawings with electrical symbols
  • Travel 10-25% of the time
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with construction drawings and schematics
  • 5+ years of experience in managing multiple, complex, projects
  • Budget and Cost management experience
  • Experience working effectively across multiple teams in a time sensitive capacity
  • Self-motivated & highly adaptable, experience working autonomously
  • Highly organized and attention to detail
  • Proven time management skills
  • Proven communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with typical AV conferencing technologies (Cisco, Clear One, Crestron, HP, etc.) preferred
  • Basic understanding of audio & video signal flow preferred
  • BS in related field or combination of relevant education and experience
  • 1+ year of experience with CAD, VectorWorks or other drafting software preferred
  • Basic understanding of networking preferred
  • 3+ years of construction project management experience preferred
