Meta is seeking an experienced Partner Support Specialist to provide high-touch white-glove support experience to news partners in MENA. This person will support a diverse range of news organizations across the region by investigating, troubleshooting, and driving escalations to resolution. This Specialist will use strong collaboration and communication skills to solve problems with cross-functional internal teams. Specialists are expected to provide an exceptional support experience by driving the end-to-end resolution of issues. We are looking for accountable candidates, excited to solve problems and strategically drive process excellence for news partners. Candidates are expected to be empathetic, data-driven, curious, excited about getting into the weeds with operational issues, and flexible to frequent changes. The ideal candidate should work successfully across teams and regions and use their operational skills, analytical expertise, and empathy to drive solutions proactively and have a sophisticated knowledge of the news industry on the continent, its content strategies, and business models. This role will be based in Dubai and is a 6-month fixed-term role. This role is part of the News Partnerships team at Meta, which provides impactful solutions to news organizations for reaching new audiences and revenue growth.
Partner Support Specialist, News Partnerships - MENA (6 Month Contract) Responsibilities
  • Provide partners with a delightful, high touch, and effective support experience by effectively resolving complex issue support queries with high quality, speed, empathy and accuracy.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and drive our most sensitive and complex escalations to resolution, and communicate to cross-functional partners involved throughout the whole process.
  • Deal with high priority escalations, grey areas and collaborating with cross functional experts, when appropriate, to resolve issues swiftly.
  • Contribute to partner success by guiding optimal use of Facebook and Instagram tools and services, compliance with Community Standards and other rules, and content strategy.
  • Become an expert in the support experience for Partners by understanding and resolving their inbound product questions and issues.
  • Remain up-to-date on key workflow changes and operational guidelines in order to effectively advocate for process excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in News/Publishing, audience engagement, partner management, and business development.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Communication and presentation experience and experience clarifying and summarizing issues.
  • Experience with interacting effectively with a cross-functional team, multitasking, and prioritization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the news media ecosystem in MENA, our policies, the social debate around our platforms, and multiple countries' cultural context.
  • Familiarity with Meta's suite of products.
  • Experience w/ working with technical and business stakeholders (including leadership).
