The Brand Design team at Reality Labs solves brand problems for our products using design as a strategic tool and drives the design execution and evolution of our brands. The main focus areas for the team are 1)bringing Brand Strategies to life, 2)building scalable design systems, platforms and programs and 3)designing consistent, meaningful, and innovative brand experiences for marketing, digital, in-product, spatial, events, and retail & packaging.
We are currently seeking a Retail Design Lead for our team to create groundbreaking, culture-defining work across our retail channels. This person will partner with creative directors, designers, writers, producers, and product marketers as well as our retail partners and cross-functional sales teams, ensuring a consistent language through all retail touch points.
This Design Lead should be a multi-faceted and innovative problem-solver with focused experience in Retail, Brand Design, and Marketing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across spatial, print, digital, and experiential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured environment is critical. The candidate should be fluent in the fundamentals of design with a portfolio that showcases this expertise.
Design Lead, Retail Responsibilities
Direct our retail creative and design with a strong vision, from setting design strategies and innovating concepts to world-class execution
Further develop and expand our retail systems and experiences across multiple brands, retailers and media (spatial, print, digital) with focus on innovation, consistency, and scale
Lead, mentor and inspire an internal team and direct external partners with clarity and vision. Oversee work created both in-house team as well as by agencies and retail partners
Bridge marketing and brand work streams with retail, educating larger creative and cross-functional group with best practices and new opportunities in retail environment
Drive alignment on creative and design across leadership, cross-functional partners, and retailers
Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced and ambitious environment, breaking down complex briefs into simple, compelling ideas and highly-engaging design, while improving the overall creative and production processes
10+ years of design experience with proven track record on leading teams and retail work streams
Experience on retail across the full palette of brand expression (spatial, print, digital, and experiential), from concepting to creation
Experience in graphic design, digital design, experiential design, architecture, industrial design
Experience growing a team and managing the growth and career tracks for direct reports
