We are seeking an experienced and passionate Software Engineering Manager to lead Vulnerability Management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers who are focused on developing and maintaining software solutions that help protect Meta's systems and data from vulnerabilities.
Software Engineering Manager, Trust Security - Reality Labs Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of skilled software engineers in the development and implementation of cutting-edge security solutions in vulnerability management for A, and MR, including helping to hire and grow the team
  • Build systems that teams across the company rely on, backend infrastructure to manage vulnerabilities
  • Support performance management process to recognize high performance and support those who are struggling
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the software engineers on the team, advocate for the team’s technical interests and needs
  • Work with your team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy to protect and manage vulnerabilities
  • Work closely with engineering leaders across the organization to help them prioritize security in their products and drive adoption of the systems the team builds to secure experiences and address security concerns promptly
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of vulnerability management, and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the team
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS / MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience)
  • 2+ years of experience as a software engineering manager, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on vulnerability management
  • Proven track record of building and supporting cross-functional teams
  • Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers
  • Effective communication skills, with experience to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of growing teams and organizations
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards for software development and security
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in security (application security, vulnerability management)
  • Experience in a variety of systems, including backend, client, and platforms, with a strong understanding of their unique security challenges and requirements

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
