Enterprise Engineering (EE), Facebook’s internal IT organization is looking for an experienced, self-driven Program Manager who will be accountable to drive org level vendor initiatives that improves the value EE receives from its vendor partners. This role sits within the central VMO function of the office of CIO and will be accountable to drive value for EE through vendor relationships (e.g. cost leverage, performance improvements, innovation, escalation management) and extensive cross-functional collaboration to implement vendor related initiatives.
Vendor Strategy & Operations - Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Program manage strategic vendor initiatives across EE’s purchasing categories. Sample projects: 360 partnership with strategic vendors, vendor risk management, preferred supplier program, streamline deal intake process, process to integrate vendors of acquired entities
  • Independently scope and manage large scale cross-functional programs, enable resourcing manage leadership communications, frame critical decisions for program success, highlight progress towards goals, risks and dependencies
  • Explore new strategic opportunities to elevate EE’s overall vendor management maturity that improves financial, technical and operational value
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to inform and influence roadmaps and joint goals Establish and operationalize custom engagement models, RXR and cadence with cross functional teams (e.g. procurement, legal, GRC, technical program management). Identify collaboration roadblocks and work efficiently to remove them
  • Inform the future roadmap for strategic vendor management and provide planning and analytical support, consulting, for category teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in technology sourcing and vendor management function
  • 5+ years with top management consulting firms with experience in any of these domains - vendor management, procurement, business process reengineering, risk management
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and in a role that requires influencing across different levels in the organization (internal and vendors) and cross functional teams (legal, finance, risk management etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA with BA or BS degree in Computer Science or Electronics or Supply Chain field
  • Experience working with CIO organizations of fast moving technology product companies
  • Experience managing vendor relationships at a senior exec level
  • Working knowledge of key contract language and terms in technology agreements
  • Understanding of vendor’s profitability levers, operating model, account management practices and product roadmapping process
  • Experience managing procurement of multiple categories (professional services, hardware, enterprise software)
